About
Charles Amadeus is an equity trader and IT entrepreneur from New York City. Utilizing technical analysis on a multitude of financial instruments, he writes commentary on risk management techniques for purchasing power preservation. By providing objective graphical representations of intramarket dynamics, he enables readers to view the mind of a trader in a transparent and actionable fashion.
Emphasizing point and figure chart interpretation, he looks at stocks, ETFs, breadth and volatility data to quantify the direction of today’s market to determine the odds of capital growth. Charles has been trading securities since his first Wall Street class at Stuyvesant High School, and has evolved his strategy from researching fundamental macro themes to trend based trading.
When he’s not constructing point and figure charts, Charles operates Geek Serv, a computer support service for the Seattle Metro Area. Other pastimes include making documentaries, playing the ukulele and snowboarding the mountains of British Columbia.
