Video Review of the Indexes
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 19th, 2010 at 7:20 am
The bulls maintained their overall control last week, although they did allow the market to slip a little. The NAZ led the downside, but no key technical breaches occurred.

Keys From a 6-Month Streak
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 14th, 2010 at 7:31 am
Anytime you find yourself in the midst of a streak in your trading, it’s worth paying attention to. When you’re winning, you need to find out why.
A few years ago, I was fortunate to put together a 13-month streak of consecutive net profits (profits every month for 13 months).

Is NFLX Leading Again?
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 12th, 2010 at 8:26 am
With new highs being hit almost daily in the market, there has been an abundance of long-sided trade candidates. However, weak stocks are still in our midst, and it can serve us well to watch for those outliers - whether as individual profit vehicles or simply as hedges.

Video Review of the Indexes
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 11th, 2010 at 7:30 am
The New Year is underway, and it has started just like 2009 ended - with strength.
Last week we saw the bulls get quickly into gear with a Monday morning gap to the upside, sending the major averages back to new recovery highs. Although the follow through for the remainder of the week was rather modest, it was produced, sending yet another reminder that the trend is up and the recovery rally is still very much intact.

The Envy of Other Traders
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 7th, 2010 at 10:31 am
If you have traded for virtually any length of time, you’ve no doubt found yourself on both ends of the spectrum when it comes to winning and losing.

Nothing Wrong WIT This One
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 5th, 2010 at 10:48 am
Solid technical setups often times will have more than one positive thing going for them. It may simply be having the market’s wind at its back, or it may be more like the stock I’m going to show you today. WIT has made a monster run since the March lows of 2009, tacking on about 350% since then. And while that’s a really impressive advance, the fact is that the stock is still trending higher - and may be poised for more.

Video Review of the Indexes
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | January 4th, 2010 at 7:36 am
Despite a very minor hiccup to end 2009, the bulls made a great showing when it was all said and done. The early action was extremely ugly, but the March-December rally made the ultimate difference and solid gains were posted across the board.

Video Review of the Indexes
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | December 21st, 2009 at 7:04 am
The bulls remain in the driver’s seat as we close in on the end of the year, but do they plan to finish strong? An opportunity certainly awaits them if they can produce a breakout, but with light volume and a holiday-shortened trading week, expectations may be low.

Video Review of the Indexes 10-25-2009
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | October 26th, 2009 at 8:09 am
The bulls produced new recovery highs last week (again), but as the week wound down, it appeared as though some fatigue may be setting in.

Bearish Engulfing Bars Warrant Caution
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | October 22nd, 2009 at 8:15 am
Following gains of more than 7% in just a dozen days, today we saw the market averages tag new recovery highs and then reverse sharply to finish in the red. The bearish engulfing bars which resulted on the daily charts aren’t pretty, especially given the elevated volume which accompanied them.

Why I’m Not Trading AAPL
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | October 19th, 2009 at 2:22 pm
AAPL is set to report earnings after today’s closing bell. It’ll be the focus of attention at times both today and tomorrow as the dust settles post-news, but truth be told, I have no interest either way.

Video Review of the Indexes 10-18-2009
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | October 18th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
The bulls were back at it again last week as they produced new recovery highs in each of the major averages. The net gains weren’t overly impressive, but the mere fact that the market keeps climbing certainly is.

Video Review of the Indexes 10-12-2009
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | October 12th, 2009 at 8:38 am
In the last 2 weeks, we’ve seen the market go 2 different directions - and yet nowhere at all.
Two weeks ago, a solid breakdown appeared to be underway as short-term support zones were undercut and volume increased as the selling pressure intensified. However, since then we’ve seen a quick recovery right back up, making it a round-trip effort as the indexes returned to former resistance areas. That’s of course where the fun will begin this week, making for some pretty interesting conditions.

Video Review of the Indexes 9-27-2009
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | September 28th, 2009 at 8:12 am
Those who have been hoping for a correction in the market finally got a small taste of one last week. It wasn’t a significant one, but it was the first 3-day dip we’ve had in a month. Does that mean the fun is over for the bulls? Let’s not jump to any big conclusions just yet.

Understanding the Quiet Rally
The Stock Bandit, Jeff White | September 23rd, 2009 at 11:00 am
It’s been one impressive rally…by some measures. The indexes have made an about-face from the March lows, refusing to look back as they erase so much of the carnage of the bear market. The move has been persistent and consistent…just a ton of green days.
