  • Winners of the StockTwits $TWENTYTEN Contest with CME GROUP

    Since announcing the $TWENTYTEN Contest in December asking our community for predictions for the coming year, StockTwits has received over 500 tweets with the tag.

    We scoured the tweets and found a ton of insightful and witty stuff and so it was tough choosing only 8 people to receive a @CMEGroup Shwag Pack and interview with Howard Lindzon.

  • How The Economist Can Participate in Social Media

    Earlier this week, The Financial Times reported that the The Economist plans to increase its social media presence significantly on Facebook and Twitter.  They write:

    Ben Edwards, publisher of Economist.com, hopes that Facebook will help his site acquire new readers and develop a “deeper level of engagement” with existing ones.

    “We have a mission online of being the foremost destination for global discussion and debate, which is a social proposition,” Mr Edwards told the Financial Times.

    This is great sign. Financial media are becoming more aware that social media is a great way to meaningfully connect with their audience and critical strategically.

  • Innovating Streams: Predictions for $TWENTYTEN and $EXCHTALK with @CMEGROUP

To date, we have employed StockTwits streams mostly for assets and the Suggested List.  We started with US Equities but have since added a few international equity market symbols, Forex, Chart.ly, futures and recently the Options Force Suggested List with @CBOE.
