    eBay Inc. (NASDAQ: EBAY) looks mixed on the reaction despite the positive headline data.  The online auction monopoly posted $0.44 non-GAAP EPS on $2.37 billion in revenues.  Thomson Reuters had estimates at $0.40 EPS and $2.29 billion in revenues.

  • T. Boone Pickens Shutters Wind Project (GE, CLNE)

    This has already been delayed and rumored, but it appears that oil magnate T. Boone Pickens has given up on his northern Texas Pampa Wind Farm power project.  The economics do not work.  The deal had already been postponed as cheap natural gas makes the project inequitable and as credit conditions are still tight.

  • Hope For Global Economy As China Exports Surge

    China’s exports increased at an unexpectly rapid pace, up 18% in December compared to the same month in 2008. One economist told Reuters that the data mean that China’s GDP rose 11% in the last quarter of 2009 and that factory production was probably up 25% in December.
